CERTIFICATIONS
Production, Environmental and Safety Standards.
The company has chosen to adopt a complete and certified quality management system.
Cos’è la certificazione ISO 9001
ISO 9001 certification is a system designed to qualify a company. This means providing customers with the assurance that a certified company will deliver what is required. The ISO system is now recognized worldwide.
The ISO 9000 family of standards provides guidelines on how a company should operate in order to deliver a quality product or service that meets customer requirements. These standards offer organizational guidance, making them applicable across various industries.
Certification according to this family of standards is a system certification: it does not certify a specific product or service, but rather the company’s management system. The issued certificate confirms that the company adopts a system of rules, responsibilities, and controls that comply with ISO standards.
Why ISO certification is important
Verify the proper implementation of the management system.
The company implements a quality (or environmental management) system, committing significant resources to ensure that the adopted system complies with the relevant standard.
To demonstrate that the achieved improvement is the result of a management system, not isolated initiatives.
A good service or the quality of a product may result from a random combination of positive factors or the goodwill of the staff. With certification, however, the company demonstrates that the quality perceived by the customer is not accidental, but the result of a clear intention and a structured set of rules that made it possible to achieve that outcome.
Have a continuous drive to improve
For the company, knowing that its system is subject to external audits at scheduled intervals means recognizing that improvements are always possible and that maintaining standards is not a trivial task. It represents a constant stimulus to view every achieved objective as a threshold that can always be exceeded and improved.
ISO 14001 Environmental Policy
E.T.S. Engineering S.p.A. operates in the design, production management, sales, installation, and servicing of overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and electromechanical handling and lifting systems.
In production management, the company collaborates with suppliers entrusted with processes derived from the design phase, particularly those related to welding, mechanical components, and surface treatments.
E.T.S. The Management ensures to:
-
Promote environmental commitment through information, training, and awareness initiatives for employees, operators, and the community.

These guidelines are translated into specific and detailed objectives within an environmental program, which the company defines according to various needs arising from both legal requirements and internal priorities. Progress is regularly monitored and updated to measure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the implemented actions.

What is ISO 45001 certification?
ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety, developed to protect employees and visitors from work-related accidents and illnesses.
ISO 45001 certification has been designed to mitigate all factors that may cause irreparable harm to both employees and organizations. Its standards are the result of extensive work by a committee of health and safety management experts, who closely examined various system management approaches, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
In addition, ISO 45001 has been developed to take into account other safety methods and standards, such as OHSAS 18001, as well as labor standards, conventions, and safety guidelines issued by the ILO.
ISO 45001 Certification: Why is it important?
The ISO 45001 certification standard defines the requirements of an organizational system capable of effectively managing occupational health and safety requirements, with the aim of preventing work-related illnesses, injuries, and fatalities.
Its purpose is to improve workplace conditions in terms of health and safety, while also enhancing the operational efficiency of organizations. Compared to the OHSAS 18001 standard, UNI ISO 45001 places greater emphasis on the roles and responsibilities within an organization and the involvement of all interested parties.
It also involves top management (leadership) and individuals who can influence decisions and the achievement of objectives, including stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and the wider community.
Notification according to ATEX directive
E.T.S. Engineering S.p.A. is notified by Bureau Veritas in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU – ATEX.
This means, firstly, that E.T.S. has submitted its ATEX technical file—related to risk analysis for machinery operating in potentially explosive environments—to a recognized third-party body, as required by the ATEX Directive. Secondly, it means that ETS designs and manufactures overhead cranes, jib cranes, hoists, and lifting systems in full compliance with Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX), which is in force throughout Europe and widely adopted worldwide.
